Slade Construction

“Due to the nature of Slade’s business, we may be engaged in multiple short-term projects in multiple states.  With a TruFund mobilization loan, I was able to employ 24 contractors and complete three projects without worrying about meeting payroll and other expenses before the projects were complete.  TruFund financing enabled me to complete the projects on time, within schedule, and budget.”

The Business

Slade Land Use, Environmental, and Transportation Planning, LLC (“Slade”), a General Contractor for Building Construction, was established in 2006, and is a multi-disciplined construction and program management firm that specializes in environmental, construction, urban planning, and civil planning services.  Slade has offices in Birmingham, Alabama and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Slade opened in April 2006 in her apartment. While looking for work, she created some marketing materials that led to consulting opportunities.  L’Tryce decided to play the cards she was dealt and focused more seriously on starting her business.
