Position Summary:

The marketing and communications coordinator will assist the department lead in coordinating and implementing multiple projects including: media relations, collateral material relating to program operations, monitoring web analytics, developing strategic marketing plans and media buying options, track and assess value of public relations campaigns, assist with direct mail and fundraising outreach, compile social media posting options, and completion of various administrative tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

• Content creation for all of our company social media accounts including organizing cross-platform content strategies
• Develop new social media campaigns from the ground up, considering our clients’ needs and their specific industries
• Monitor social channels for trending news, ideas to capitalize on those trends through our social media accounts
• Perform research into our target market and clients’ industries and provide actionable tips and advice for expanding their reach in the digital space
• Assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics
• Assist in the drafting and editing of press releases
• Work with TruFund team providing general support and coordination for Corporate Communications Department
• Assist in email marketing platform management

Education and Related Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in mass communication, public relations, marketing, or graphic design).
• Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative
• Strong writing skills a plus
• Flexible work schedule
• Hardworking and Dedicated
• Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
• Experience with content creation a plus
• Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
• Proficiency in graphic design software desired, but not required

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Able to handle multiple projects and to prioritize effectively.
• The ability to work as a team member as well as independently is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Graphic Design desired, but not required
• Introductory knowledge of marketing, public relations, brand management, advertising and social media management.
