Job Description and Salary: Reporting to the three-person Resource Development department, this is a remote paid internship that involves working 8-12 hours per week for a maximum of 40 hours per month through December 2023. The Resource Development Intern will assist with our CRM Donor Perfect database maintenance, integration and CRM software utilization, researching a wide range of funder prospects, assisting  grants reporting process, and contributing to the development of fundraising solicitation materials. Salary is $25-$30 per hour based on experience and skills.

 Qualifications

  • You have a deep investment in social justice issues with a special interest in economic development and racial wealth equity issues
  • You would like to gain experience in non-profit fundraising and resource development strategy and seek to learn how non-profit organizations cultivate, build and develop relationships to fund their activities
  • You are tech-savvy and have an eye for detail and enjoy conducting research and interpreting data
  • You are currently enrolled as an undergraduate/graduate student or are a recent graduate seeking experience in the non-profit sector

Donor Perfect/CRM Responsibilities

  • Data maintenance: Run new uploads, review and clean uploaded data
  • Ensure current and accurate funder contact information for all funder accounts
  • Data updates: Fill in missing data fields for funder accounts, upload giving history data
  • Help design standard reports and run frequent reports as requested

Research

  • Identify new prospects using Foundation Directory Online, RelSci, LinkedIn, and search engines
  • Enter prospect data in DonorPerfect and generate profiles and reports
  • Conduct market specific economic and community economic health research to ensure all market wide data is current

 Fundraising/Solicitation Materials 

  • Update and customize sales materials for funder cultivation, solicitation and stewardship including proposals, presentations and website content- Involves drafting text, sourcing images and data, and creating charts and graphs
  • Update Resource Development tools/templates with current and accurate internal and external data

 Other

  • Assist with the awarded grant reporting and compliance process
  • Provide other administrative assistance to the development team, as needed
