Partner Initiatives & Small Business Resources

TruFund works actively with partners in the ecosystem to support our small business clients and their communities. By way of client referrals, co-sponsored events or special programs and initiatives to deliver products or services, TruFund works closely with diverse government, nonprofit, and private sector partners to ensure that historically disadvantaged small businesses and communities have access to the holistic and comprehensive range of services they need to succeed.

Partner Initiatives:

Entrepreneurs of Color Loan Initiative

NewCorp, Inc. and TruFund Financial Services, Inc. will announce a new collaboration with the Entrepreneurs of Color Fund (EOCF) aimed at expanding access to capital and other resources to minority-owned businesses in the crescent city.

This collaboration will not only provide much-needed capital directly into the hands of African American, Latinx, and other small business owners, but also yield critical support such as coaching, operational guidance, and training.

New Orleans Business Alliance

TruFund is a CDFI member of the Invest NOLA collaborative led by New Orleans Business Alliance. Invest NOLA helps scale minority-owned and woman-owned small businesses with high growth potential.

The program is designed to accelerate expansion of high-growth potential businesses by connecting them to public- and private-sector opportunities, innovative capital products, and advanced business-management education, developed by Tulane and Xavier universities.

Managed by the New Orleans Business Alliance, the program leverages Tulane and Xavier’s combined expert faculty and network of mentors. Participants learn executive management training focused on business expansion, sustainable growth, cost analysis, fiscal management, human resource management, and strategic planning.
