Position Summary:
Under the direction of the SVP, National Market Operations the Market Manager- NY/NJ is a senior leader in both the market and the TruFund organization. The Market Manager serves as a front facing personnel responsible for the strategic engagement of community stakeholders and resource and referral partners within the assigned market(s) and is responsible for the day-to-day operations within the assigned market(s). This role supports all lending pipeline development within the market. They also support the SVP, National Market Operations in identifying, cultivating, and managing key relationships in the market at the corporate, state, and local government levels. This individual is adept in identifying lending, market development, and expansion opportunities. The Market Manager is also responsible for supporting the SVP of Resource Development and resource development team in all aspects of identifying, acquiring, and expanding new resources to support lending and market operations and managing existing market level fiduciary partner relationships. The Market Manager is tasked with additional fiscal responsibilities to include managing grant allocations, market and grant budgets and market profit and loss. This individual will work with TruFund national Corporate Communications department to support the promotion of TruFund lending product offerings raising community and stakeholder awareness of TruFund Financial Services, Inc’s brand.
Primary Job Functions:
- Represent TruFund at local and state events to increase community awareness of TruFund’s products and services.-
- Provide expert knowledge of TruFund’s programs, services, and products to external stakeholders.
- Work alongside SVP, National Market Operations to manage market budget, profit & loss and ensure market self-sufficiency.
- Deliver presentations and engage in public speaking opportunities with local and state stakeholders and constituents outlining TruFund’s offerings to increase TruFund’s brand position and value.
- Engage President & CEO and SVP as required for high level government, philanthropic and/or corporate fiduciary partner engagement.
- Manage current and new market relationships as assigned by SVP to establish and cultivate rapport and increase TruFund’s brand value.
- Work with SVP to plan and oversee community engagement initiatives and market product/program launches.
- Research organizations and government partners to source new opportunities.
- Attend statewide and local conferences, meetings, and industry events on behalf of TruFund Financial Services, Inc.
- Work with SVP, National Market Operations and SVP of Resource Development to ensure development goals are met.
- Manage market grant sourcing, execution, and implementation.
- Refer resource development opportunity to TruFund’s national development team.
- Support sourcing, writing and submission of grants to support market operations.
- Leverage deep familiarity and a large business network within the market
- Partner with and refer potential clients to internal teams at TruFund including Lending, Disaster Recovery, IDF and New Markets Tax Credits.
- Manage business advisory services, programming, and community engagement in market.
- Refer business development/lending opportunity to lending team.
- Ability and willingness to travel for meetings as directed by SVP (Job Requirement up to 25% Travel)
Education and Related Work Experience:
- 7+ years of community banking, small business lending or financial services experience
- 7+ years’ experience small business advising
- 7+ years services in non-profit management
- 7+ years in community development or community organizing
- 5+ years in resource development and grant writing, budgeting, and grant allocation
- 5+ years’ experience managing fiscal budgets
- 5+ years’ experience with grant sourcing, execution, and implementation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance
- MBA
